happy new year to my fellow jews. top 5 favorite jews. considering we're only like one percent of the world i guess its not hard to narrow down my favorites. number 5, seth rogen. funniest dude out there now. definitely my favorite jewish comedian, when adam sandler decides to make Happy Gilmore 2: The Chubbs Story, then we can talk about sandler rejoining the top 5. until then, sorry buddy. number 4, kind of in the same boat, judd apatow!! besides that dewey cox movie which was only slightly funny, this dude makes the funniest fucking movies. superbad, knocked up, 40 year old virgin, pineapple express, and even forgetting sarah marshall. it goes on and on. speaking of forgetting sarah marshall i fucking love that movie its coming out on dvd either soon or it came out this week so definitely go check that out. number 3, moses. we were enslaved for like 4,000 years or something like that. and moses was like fuck this, fuck you pharoah, i'm taking all my people, and we are bouncing the FUCK out of here. then he led us through the desert with nothing but matzah. you know that whole thing how people say jews are whiny. imagine the entire race of jews for 40 years walking through the desert. but moses did not give up. what a guy. my second favorite jew of all time, now keep in mind these next two guys are bigger to me than moses, so they have to be the real deal. number 2, max bemis. come on, it goes unsaid. seeing them at warped tour was amazing this year, i can listen to both records non stop, he's just a great man who speaks to me. i could do a whole liah about max bemis if i wanted to but its all shit i've said before. and finally, my number one, all time favorite jew, Jayson Andrew Fox. i miss you buddy.

i really do love having lifeinsideandrewshead.com. this shit is amazing. its like liah on steroids. if only i was good at html this could get pretty epic. if i ever figure that out, oh boy. anyway, lets see whats new in my life. still in wp. rosh hashanah gave me off until thursday, and i get to chill with chris and zman. i can't wait for the full bro reunion thanksgiving. just thinking about it...ah. in other news, i got a job! a real one! you ever find yourself at the shake shack on the corner of 23rd street and madison ave, i'm the guy making your food. or ringing your order. or probably just dealing with the shakes. maybe i'm the guy mopping up in back. either way, i'm working! nice. lets hope this helps my serious income problem. and hey my birthday is in about a month. finally, oh finally, i don't need to go on a scavenger hunt to try and find cigarettes. will make my life much easier. and whenever people ask how old i am i hate saying 17. ugh. i might as well say i'm 12 there isn't much of a difference. gotta pay your dues i guess.

well i was kind of disappointed about choke. i know you shouldn't compare a movie to its book, but when that book is as awesome as choke is i dunno. i think the movie could've been better. by all means it wasn't a bad movie, it was pretty funny and sam rockwell was good in it, but for me it was tough because i was expecting certain things in it. i give props to the director/writer clark gregg though cause i know it was really tough to get that movie made, but i still have a right to be disappointed. kind of a shame. the jets won today though!!!!! brett favre with 6 td receptions. nice. and those throwback jerseys i like the more they wear them. very classy.

choke comes out tomorrow, i can't wait. gonna see it right after my job interview. lets hope that goes well. in case its not known, choke is my favorite book by chuck palahniuk. and this is the guy who wrote fight club, so you know this is the real deal. i'm not expecting fight club out of it. fight club is iconic, it changed my life. my first encounter with tyler durden, holy shit man. i can truly say, i wouldn't be sitting here in brooklyn right now if it wasn't for fight club. i wouldn't have wanted to make movies with my life. i probably wouldn't even be into movies. i don't really know who i'd be if it wasn't for fight club. really. i mean that's kind of a scary thing. when i say fight club is my favorite movie, i mean it. it really and truly changed my life. how often can art do that to someone? like there is a shitload of great films out there. i could go on and on about movies that i really love and could watch a thousand times. but for a movie to take you and just fucking blow your mind and help you understand who you are, wow. i can only hope you all have an experience like that some day.

back in brooklyn. had a sick time in jersey even though the jets lost. fucking jets. brett favre did what he could, the defense just needs to step up. they will sunday. we're playing arizona, and theres never a time to get cocky being a jets fan, but we should take this one. if we don't then we have serious problems. in other news, america won the ryder cup! how fucking awesome is that. haven't won it since 1999. and we did it this year without tiger woods. see whats cool about that, what probably makes it more awesome than the olympics or something like that, we get to play the entire fucking continent of europe. it's America vs. the whole entire landscape of Europe. and we beat their ass. makes me proud to be an american. if the Barclays Classic(the one in yesterday), has Boo Weekley in it, i am going. there's very few true american heroes out there besides our soldiers. it's a short list which i can only dream of joining one day. John McCain, Lance Armstrong, Brett Favre, Joey Chestnut, Captain America, and now Boo Weekley.

so i read chuck palahniuk's new book. snuff. i read it in 2 days. yeah thats right, i finished a book cover to cover in 2 days. i mean it was only like 200 pages, but still. dominated that shit. it was good. very entertaining. not a full chuck palahniuk experience cause it was so short but it was good. doesn't come close to a book like choke or survivor. choke is definitely my favorite palahniuk book. i really can't fucking wait until september 26th when the movie comes out. very pumped. and tomorrow i'm going to jersey nigga!!! gonna be ballin. team 2008 making its reunion tour. then next weekend its the return of chris bassano!!! nice. cue one of my favorite pictures, probably of all time. if i could enlarge it to a 24 x 32 poster i would. if only we lived in a perfect world. like i so eloquently commented on my birthday november 1st last year, once billy put on the glasses, brono's head exploded. rip. was funny then, still funny today. damn that was a year ago. how sad is that.

so i just watched step brothers for the first time, wow that was a funny fucking movie. fucking hysterical. too bad i wasn't allowed to go to see it the first time, dag. haha but seriously, when i first saw that chewbacca mask, i was dying. the whole fucking movie. god damn. nothing like a movie that just really makes you laugh constantly. ready to take on the week.

game day baby. game day. time to make a statement. time to prove to the world that the jets are the real deal. i'm beyond pumped. got my favre jersey, i'm ready to go. fucking ready. what am i currently listening to? journey, don't stop believin. that song was probably made for jets fans. cause we've gone through so much hurt. so much pain. but yeah, we don't stop believing. now i look at myself. and i've given up the pennington number 10 jersey. he suffered a lot with us. but the jets and their fans were finally given a break. finally something good happened to them. we were given one of the best quarterbacks of all time, a man named Brett Favre. now i look down, and I see i've got the number 4. kind of reminds me about the monday after we all went to the islander ranger game where the islanders won 7-4. i remember being in school that day, the only person in the school representing their team that day. and i looked down, and i saw the islanders logo, and it was very sentimental. well, i look down at the 4, and i see hope. finally, as a jets fan, i see hope.

not an easy day. it seems like yesterday we were in 6th grade and mrs. meehan sat us down to try and explain to us what just happened. people use that expression a lot, "it seems like yesterday" but that was a day that really truly stuck with me and i'm sure everyone can say the same. you usually would read about that stuff happening to other countries and not really worrying because it was so far away. to have something that horrific happen right in new york, i dunno. its still difficult to comprehend, i don't think i'll ever be able to comprehend that day. try not to forget, no matter what your politics are, no matter what you think about anything, at the end of the day we're all americans. and that is a beautiful thing.

well i got a job today!!! fucking finally. its like some internship thing where i work for this guy but yet i make money? i dunno i wasn't really paying attention but it sounded good. all i really do anymore is find myself waiting for sunday. sundays are officially the greatest fucking day of the week, hands down. its not even close. thursdays are cool cause i go to the brooklyn library and get another batch of dvds, so thats like a good mid point. this weeks dvds were really fucking good. last days, good will hunting, and monster's ball were definitely the best of the bunch. you know what, i did my homework at school today so fuck it. lets move thursday up two days, i'm gonna grab some movies. always reward yourself, thats the way to do it. just look at that fucker.

what a day. fucking jets won!!!! favre came out and just dominated!!!!! its been a long time since i've seen a quarterback in a jets uniform command the field like that. and the whole team has gotten better, and they're all starting to step up. honestly i think this team will get better as the season goes by. and as i was starting to accept that i might have to miss entourage this season, my number 1 favorite show of all time, this website comes through and posts the episode an hour or two later. pinch me. seriously. life is sweet right now. and i'm loving it. all i need is this job to come through at the video store and, well i don't know. little things like that make me happy. really truly happy. is that kind of pathetic? maybe. but i really don't give a fuck. its like that scene in kids when telly goes on to talk about how you just gotta find that thing you love and stick with it. in his case it was giving virgins AIDS, but hey whatever floats your boat. what a day. i think i'm gonna do some food shopping tomorrow, get some healthy food. i hate eating all this crap every day. its expensive and i don't want to gain weight. fuck that. i'm gonna do some laundry too. then finish the reading i have to do. maybe work on my writing. yes. i'm ready for the week. enjoy yours. enjoy life.

game day baby. game day. ah i'm so pumped. even though i've got this shitty tv with barely any reception, it doesn't matter. finally, as a jets fan, i feel optimistic. who knows. like i was telling jay yesterday though, this team still has a lot to prove. of course they do. they haven't done shit yet. lots of new players, lots of players time to step up. i think they will though. i'm feeling good. this can be it. at the end of the day though, the best thing about all of this, football is back! football!!!! even though last year was pretty tough to watch, its a clean slate now. ahh. so pumped.

those pictures in the liah are pretty sweet, not gonna lie. adds a whole new element. i'm liking it. so i've got like 6 movies to watch till thursday, made a nice little pit stop yesterday at the brooklyn library. its a pretty epic library. the first one i saw was this film Last Days by Gus Van Sant. really fucking good. and i mean really fucking good. its based on the final days of Kurt Cobain's life. it was pretty intense. with his movies he really draws things out, i watched Elephant the other day and it was the same way. very drawn out and slow but it really builds this intense feeling. if you ever come across Last Days i suggest you watch it. Michael Pitt is really good in it, he really jumped into this character. theres barely any dialogue so he pretty much had to embody him. very good shit i bought the poster after i saw it. can anyone name the only other poster i've bought right after seeing the movie? anyone? i've pretty much said the story a thousand times you should know that.

well my first real week of classes, meaning i had all 3 days of classes. still, they were long days. i'm glad i have the weekend now. so last night i found a job listing on craigslist to work at a video store. i ended up writing a cover letter for them till like 2 in the morning. pretty much i'd be the happiest guy in the world if that comes through. a video store. you serious? also i'll have you all know the goatee is coming in rather nicely. but as they say rome wasn't built in a day. more importantly though, this sunday is going to be one of the best sundays in a long time. first off THE JETS SEASON OPENER BRETT FAVRE!!!!!!!! its our year, our time. i'm so pumped. and ENTOURAGE SEASON PREMIERE!!!! god damn does it get much better?

so i actually have real homework and whatnot to do today. its actually gonna be a pretty packed night. i have to write like a 1-2 pages on some shit about columbus? didn't i fucking do this already for the past 12 years and whatnot. whatever. day 2 of the republican convention tonight. should be a bunch of cool shit tonight i know you all have been following it. my boy rudy is going to make a speech. i'm pumped. and we'll see what palin has. yeah. i still don't know what to think about her. enjoy your wednesday.

oh baby. we finally got lifeinsideandrewshead.com up and running. the possibilities, i can't wait. and now i'm actually in the room i'm gonna be staying in until december so it makes things a lot easier, starting with that i can actually unpack now. those are two pretty exciting things. also for my screenwriting class we have to come up with a screenplay for a short film. coming soon..."The Paddy Wagon".
