there are babies with guns beheading their friends, and shopping malls around the world. yet somehow the kings of leon still find time to write songs about girls. -max bemis
i've had a tough 2 weeks or so. i'm trying to quit smoking, not easy. "trying to quit". i've got no job, no money, and no nicotene in my system. that's a bad combination. but none of that mattered yesterday, i got to see one of my favorite bands say anything at irving plaza. max bemis completely had the place at his fingertips. slowly through a vector, woe, yellow cat/red cat, and max playing a walk through hell were all highlights. all the new songs they played were awesome too, ahh..men, cemetery where his wife came on stage to sing, mara and me, and of course everyone knew hate everyone at this point. cemetery really is a great and beautiful song. they're playing highline ballroom tonight, i wish i was there.
their new self-titled album came out yesterday, pick that shit up. it's really fucking good, i promise.
and oh wait? the yankees can win their 27th championship tonight? you fistfucking me guy? say it with me. LETS. GO. YANKEES. GOONIES NEVER SAY DIE.
