coming to you live from the brooklyn college library. i've got a wonderful(wonderful!) 5 hour break? yeah. loads of fun. but i've got class for like an hour tomorrow so hey. i guess i fucked up making my schedule. who knows. i had screenwriting today. we watched the lookout, it wasn't bad. do you remember the trailer? with joseph gordon levitt. "if you have the money you have the power." "i've got the money i've got the power!" well it wasn't as bad as you thought it'd be, quite thrilling at the end. joseph gordon levitt is an awesome fucking actor, i guess you have to be after being known for being the guy from 10 things i hate about you. heath ledger, rip, did it and now he's doing it too. i liked 500 days of summer, but more importantly, brick. if you haven't seen it, go see brick. go see it. watch it online or something i don't care.
i think between working too much this summer and just being pissed off at a lot of things, my love for film has grown even more. and by love for film i mean just watching movies. getting a 2 hour break from life for a cinematic experience, it's the bees knees. i think it also has to do with the fact that for the first half of the summer i was seeing a lot of junk in theaters. there's really nothing better than a good film, or just a film that has the ability to take you away from reality for a little bit.
you do what you love, and fuck the rest.
