ah how i tease. look at that, two in one sitting. well, after spending my time in the library re-doing my storyboards and shot list for the scene i'm shooting for King! Of! The! FOOS!!, i wanted to liah about it. uh oh, liah about it? that just happened. but yeah, i am quite excited for this. after spending the weekend trying to get inside the great Paul Thomas Anderson's head and trying to emulate what he did in Magnolia, i get to get inside my own head and do something my own. and as i'm sure you are all aware, life inside andrew's head is quite the nifty place! quite nifty indeed!
anyway, for those not in the know, i started working on my first feature script, King Of The Foos, last semester. it's the tale of the great Johnny Manchester, once the best player the underground foosball circuit has ever seen. that is until he had a decision to make, use his saving's towards college or towards glory, glory being the illusive but very expensive King Of The Foos tournament. he was staring glory in the face, only to be stopped by the only man possible of stopping him, The Boss. cut to 5 years later, the great Johnny Manchester now works at the Burger Box and spends a bit too much time with his buddy Boomer. will he return back to the top of underground foosball where he rightfully belongs? even if he was to get back in the game, could he defeat the one man getting in his way, The Boss? will he win back the love of his life Penny or does she just get written out of the script?
i know. it's fucking awesome. i'm shooting a scene from it this weekend. i'm shooting the feature in 2012. get pumped.
