i'm officially not "homeless" in brooklyn anymore. homeless meaning i don't have to commute back and forth from westchester to school and work. i traded an hour plus commute to a twenty minute subway ride from downtown brooklyn. i'm posted up in a townhouse, and i'm really liking it. it's like hey arnold. and who didn't love hey arnold? once i get that internet hooked up, liah full time i swear.

i told myself i wasn't going to watch anymore trailers on line. i don't like being spoiled by movies, i really want them to be as surprising as they can be. i get disappointed to easily. anyway i broke that and watched this. this has the potential to be something really incredible, if what i'm seeing is joaquin phoenix played this character of a trainwreck for over a year. but there i go again, giving a film way too high expectations only to be disappointed. who knows.

here's our faux radio show for Baren. the only contribution i made to it was yelling at them for doing it. fucking actors. especially these two talented, very fucking funny actors. you give them a microphone and this is what they come up with. it's pretty funny in retrospect. pretty funny being an understatement, fucking hilarious not being an overstatement. enjoy. Baren, coming 2010.

today was a great day. a major victory on all accounts. the 106 tape collection i got on ebay finally came! i've got 106 movies to check out now, and then sell the really bad ones back. and then continue to buy more large vhs and dvd lots. and resell the bad ones. i used to be a turquoise star seller on ebay so i'm pumped to be back in the game. but way more pumped to watch a shit ton of tapes. not butchered star wars trilogy, the gold rush, ali, the mighty ducks, some dolph lundgren movie, patriot games.
along with the 30 tapes i bought from the library for a dollar each, it's game time. absolute game time.
seeing queen/freddie mercury live is absolutely on my list of things to check out if we invent time travel.

as much as i want to see The Other Guys, it does pain me to see the heads of all the reviews being, "how to get a buddy cop comedy right". when i spend my 10(11, probably 12, fuck movie theaters) dollars, sadly it'll feel like i'm cheating on Kevin Smith. but he didn't write Cop Out. and it wasn't that bad. or at least that's what i keep telling myself.
in other news, here's a teaser to my latest film, Baren. enjoy.

i went to go see green day for the 3rd time tonight. considering the shows before it were at giants stadium, and webster hall, could today possibly top them? a show somewhere deep in jersey? yes.
first of all, due to the entire state of new jersey's complete stupidity myself and Lord Vader completely took advantage of this venue. first they had everyone line up outside a gate, and the jersians were keeping track of who came first. some random dude was marking people. then word is we need to move to the box office, so we bounce way up front. for those keeping track, my "number" at first was 65. so we get slightly closer waiting at the box office because the lines split up into alphabetical? will call? once i again i don't know it's fucking new jersey. anyway, so we wait all day, but really we're waiting for this dude to come to pick up the tickets because we bought them from a broker. some dude almost at the front was buying his tickets from this guy to, so when it came time to get it our "party" had to be together. so boom. practically at the front. then we wait in some other line. pretty much, we got lucky, and i ended up getting the best spot in the entire venue. not an exaggeration at all, literally the best spot in the arena. dead center, on the gate, right across from billie joe armstrong. i went from "65" to 1. BOOM.
afi opened, eh. girl's not grey was cool. i guess? i lost interest in them about 5 years ago and it only took about 5 minutes for me to lose interest in their set. lame.
but then green day came on, and put on the best set i ever saw from them. they played about 4 songs from their new album and then just kicked into a 2 and a half hour dive through their collection. they played burnout, nice guys finish last, 2000 light years away, when i come around, she. FANTASTIC. they played a couple of american idiot songs but including give me novacaine and extraordinary girl. rarish songs. songs i really wanted to hear live.
i got billie joe's pick and his kazoo. not kidding. best green day concert. epic.
